The climate crisis calls for urgent action to renovate buildings and decarbonise the energy sector. Existing concrete buildings are often inefficient in terms of energy and thermal insulation, and renovation offers an opportunity to make them more sustainable and suitable for an environmentally aware society. The UP4GC project proposes a comprehensive approach to support current and future professionals in renovating concrete buildings, improving their energy efficiency and air quality. Training professionals on these issues is essential to adopt new approaches in renovation and to respond to emerging climate, environmental and social challenges.
